Set in the tiny southwest Michigan town of Millburg, just 10 minutes from Lake Michigan and 1.5 hours from Chicago is a sweet jewel of a wedding venue. The owners, a husband and wife team, took an abandoned bank, blacksmith shop and farm equipment station and turned it into a one of a kind rustic venue – a little bit urban hip and a little bit vintage. It was a perfect backdrop for the eclectic design concept we had in mind for this styled shoot. Woven within the palette of rich jewel tones were elements taken from the 1970’s (macrame & dream catchers), mid-century design (pressed glass goblets, decanters & furniture), the southwest (hand crafted teepee & cowhide rugs) and a pinch of earthy bohemian (feathers & fringe). Working alongside a dream team of vendors, who ran with the vision for this shoot with passion and creativity was such an inspiring experience! Our hope is that you will find design inspiration as you create the vision for your once in a lifetime day!
