Just before Covid-19 caused all of us to collectively put our lives on pause, I partnered with Snapdragon Designs and Brick & Pine Photography to create something special for the Weddings & Whiskey show at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI. The three of us decided to combine our talents and booth space to present an interactive space that included a ceremony area, lounge atmosphere and Head Table design.
We decided on a monochromatic color palette that ranged in tones of deep wine, ruby, blush and soft white, with gold metallic accents. The floral took on a slight tropical edge with freestanding floral columns in the ceremony area featuring blush palm and pampas, anthurium and burgundy orchid. The showstopper though, was the floral installation that hung above the Head Table design. Floral cascaded from a grided gold panel that mirrored the lush garland that ran the length of the rustic farm table below. A vintage bar cart displayed Journeyman’s handcrafted artisan spirits made from locally sourced Midwest grains, and guests were encouraged to try one of their custom crafted cocktails while wandering through the show. Attendees were able to relax in our lounge atmosphere and chat with us about their wedding plans while leafing through an album of images taken at real weddings at Journeyman.
We really loved working together to create something that we hope served to inspire those who attended!
