Envisioning a romantic summer chapel wedding, Allie and Nick chose The Chapel at the Morris Estate as the location where they would wed.  Located along the St. Joseph river, in Niles, Michigan, they were drawn to it’s simple elegance and peaceful, woodland setting.   Starting with deep wine as their primary wedding color, the addition of petal pink, blush, soft white and navy blue infused a summery feel that would be carried through the entire event.  The ceremony arch was beautifully hand made, and served double duty at the reception as the backdrop behind the head table.  Following the ceremony, guests tossed biodegradable flower petal confetti as the newlyweds exited the chapel. While the bridal party stayed behind to take photos, the guests headed to the reception, which was held at The Armory in South Bend, Indiana. A vintage industrial space built in 1928 which at one time, housed munitions for the National Guard. Not fans of having a huge wedding cake, they opted instead for a doughnut wall. Custom made by Nick, it featured their monogram outlined in powdered sugar donuts in the shape of a W. As their day came to a close,  Allie and Nick chose  to set off sparkler fountains instead of the traditional sparkler farewell- with spectacular results!
