Sometime’s love happens in the most unexpected places. A friendship can turn into something more when you least expect it, it did at least, for Jenna and Michael. They met at the University of Notre Dame through Jenna’s roommate, where they developed a close friendship. Three years later that friendship evolved into a romance when they decided to begin dating. Four years later Michael proposed and they set their hearts on marrying where it all began, at their alma mater. Their idea of a perfect day meant having their ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on Notre Dame’s campus, followed by a reception in the loft like setting of The Brick, which is a beautifully renovated warehouse overlooking the St. Joseph River in South Bend. They envisioned an industrial vintage vibe with an abundance of greenery, not only on the tables but hanging from the ceiling as well. Working with a color palette that included a gorgeous pale green, accented with shades of pink, coral and grey, they transformed The Brick with rustic elements such as wood farm tables, industrial metal chairs and vintage decor elements. The evening ended with a sparkler farewell and a quick getaway in a 1950 Studebaker Land Cruiser, which was a historical nod to the industrial past of the the city where it all began.
