With exactly two months to go before their wedding day, Katelynn and Nathan made the difficult decision to change their wedding venue from a country club in Michigan’s Harbor Country to a family owned property in New Carlisle, Indiana due to Covid-19.  Their guest list was cut significantly to stay within state mandated guidelines and they adopted ‘Covid Conscious’ as the theme for their day.

It was important to them that their guests felt comfortable but still have a good time celebrating. Upon arrival, guests were asked to choose a wristband based on their comfort level with socialization.  Green for high fives and hugs, yellow for talking but not touching and red asked others to keep their distance.  They also had customized individual hand sanitizers and masks readily available, and guests were invited to rearrange their chairs to fit their parties size for the ceremony, while maintaining social distance from other parties.

I truly believe that their change in venue fit Katelynn’s vision for a nature inspired, botanical and rustic wedding perfectly!  A beautiful towering tree was the backdrop for their ceremony, and we were literally surrounded by nature at every turn. While Nathan was convinced we would have torrential rain that day, we had a gorgeous early fall day with nothing but gorgeous sunshine and a cloudless blue sky.  The color palette of sage green and navy worked so well within the setting as did the wood and leaf accents Katelynn chose for the decor.

Yes, it was stressful completely changing their wedding plans with only 8 weeks to go before the wedding, but for these two, I don’t think it could have worked out more perfectly.
